SEAFRONT WALK (In front of the hotel)
A beautiful 7km long seafront walk, which was remodeled in 2002 and boasts green areas, seaside resort, sport fields, beaches, parks, etc.

LA PORTADA (10 MI/ 16.09 KM)
It was named Portada after the result of the erosive action of the sea on the coast, which has also given way to abrupt and sharp cliffs. The salt peter on the bare rock, transported by the wind, has been progressively sputtered on the sandstone layers.  

HUANCHACA RUINS
The mining company Huanchaca built this refinery in 1988. The company owns a large silver mine located near Potosi. Declared a National Monument in 1974.

ESCONDIDA MINE OBSERVATION DECK (10 MI/ 16.09 KM)
It’s located 3100 high, east of the city of Antofagasta, in the Andes Range.
At the observation deck you’ll be informed about the operations carried out in the Escondida Mine, through panels and brochures.

HISTORIC NEIGHBOURHOOD  (1.4 MI / 2.3 KM)
It corresponds to a group of buildings which is important for the history of Antofagasta city.

MELBOURNE CLARK COMPANY SALT PETER DOCK (1.4 MI / 2.3 KM)
It is known as the Historic Dock, which  was built between 1978 and 1980.

RAILWAYS FROM ANTOFAGASTA TO BOLIVIA
The former Railway Station from Antofagasta to Bolivia is a National Historic Building.

ANTOFAGASTA REGIONAL MUSEUM (1.4 MI / 2.3 KM)
It houses in its premises a permanent exhibition of a wide range of aspects of the Antofagasta’s cultural and natural history.
